The travel must-haves you need for your next trip

I don't travel very often, being in school, however on my most recent trip I realized a few routine things I do and make sure I have with me when I fly. Flight Must Haves:

  1. This sounds silly but water is one of the most important thing when traveling because it keeps you hydrated which is especially important for high elevation. Airplanes dehydrate your whole body quickly including your skin.

  2. Earphones. Duh but a helpful tip is bringing smaller earphones like earbuds instead of big chunky headphones, like beats, because they take up a lot of room in your bag.

  3. I like to bring Neutrogena oil wipes to wipe the grimy plane grease off my face.

  4. High altitude and pressure sucks all the moisture out of your skin, drying it up and making it look dull. I like to bring moisturizer and under eye cream to keep skin hydrated. This also leaves me feeling fresh when I get off the plane.

  5. A small thing of deodorant or perfume is also a good idea to pack because most of the time the plane feels like the Sahara desert. Also the person next to you and people who you are traveling with will thank you.

  6. Your hair might looked cute when you got on the plane, but in a few hours it's probably gonna look like sh*t, let's be honest. I like to bring dry shampoo and make sure I have a hair tie.

  7. Pack a healthy snack!! I like to bring a few things my bag (TSA approved) so I dont have to buy anything at the airport. These heathy snacks keep me energized and satiated throughout the day, and I am not tempted to eat junk and feel bloated during the flight. I like to carry a bag of almonds or cashews, a protein bar, popcorn, really anything healthy and small that’s easy to throw in a bag.

  8. Gum is a major one. This is to help your ears pop when taking off, but more importantly to fix that post-nap stank breath.

  9. Lastly, after the long flight, you want to get out of the airport ASAP. Be able to identify your luggage easily so you can in and out quickly. I like to use a recognizable luggage tag (I linked a few cute ones below).
